“Since its opening in 2018, Montreal’s Hotel Monville went all-in on the contactless venture, tasking only its robot, called H2M2, for all room service deliveries. “We have QR codes that re-direct to the UEAT [online ordering] platform,” says Naomi Dupont, director of Marketing and Communication, Hotel Monville. “When a guest orders something, the kitchen or reception prepares the order and programs the robot via the Savioke software for automated delivery. The hotel is mapped into the software to allow the robot to move autonomously from the lobby, in the elevators, and up to the rooms. Once it arrives at the room, the robot automatically notifies the guest that their order has arrived.” Dupont says guests appreciate the convenience and safety of the robotic delivery, and it frees up staff to serve guests in the restaurant.”
